This scenario is a variation on scenario 14 from the NACV battleset.

Blue Orders
The convoy situation is the Atlantic is getting desperate. Long-
range bombers from the Kola Peninsula are wreaking havoc. In an effort to
reduce the air threat, a group of subs, including some SSN Imp Los Angeles,
were sent to neutralize the airfields, much as they had done to Keflavik
after the Soviet occupation. They have failed in their mission.
Since the bases are too far away for an attack from land based aircraft,
a fast carrier task force, centered on two Nimitz class carriers
and two CG Imp Ticonderogas, is being dispatched to deal with the
bases. You are responsible for taking the group up to the peninsula,
and neutralizing the air bases. Make sure to destroy Murmansk Rusta,
Ponoy, Luostari, and Shagui, as these have been important airfields
for the long-range bombers.
Standing against you is an imposing force. There is a single
surface group somewhere around the peninsula. There are also several
sub groups believed to be operating in the area. Soviet air power is
large, with several regiments of long-range bombers spread throughout
the five bases. It is possible that nuclear release will be granted.

Red Orders
Our long-range bombers have been as effective as all of our pre-war
estimates predicted. In addition, our ASW forces have been doing a
marvelous job, recently sinking a group of attack subs that were
headed for the Kola Peninsula. NATO now has decided to shift it's
tactics and our satellite intelligence indicates that they are sending
a carrier group, with two or possibly three nuclear carriers.
This group must not be allowed to damage our bases! If they do so,
then they will have gained the initiative in the sea war and will be
able to sent supplies to Europe much easier.
To deal NATO a crippling blow, you must sink at least two of the incoming
carriers and any missile escorts. Be particularly careful to sink
any ships which are capable of launching nuclear missiles at the
Motherland. It is possible that you will be allowed to use nuclear
weapons to neutralize the fleet.
